I tend to think that the blogging life is not for me, this is due to my general feeling of lack of self-importance and general laziness. But after reading Vivian's blog and taking in her adventures in her indie film, I have decided to give this another go. So here, I am, trying to think of eloquent ways of expressing my altogether feelings and thoughts. Though, they tend to be not all that interesting. So, I have been told that I don't have to write about what I am feeling but just about something.
I want nothing more sometimes than to zip along on a little red Vespa. Yes, a Vespa. A compact, two wheeled, retro, European scooter. Have you ever really thought about how much fun that would be. I watch old films about 1950s Greece and other seaside countries and there is always that shot of a man riding, wind blowing in the hair, with ray bans on the little two wheeled machine. I want to be that retro fellow. I think that would be rather grand.
Anyways a week.

A Political Mistake of Epic Proportions.

Here it is as simply as I can put it. McCain's VP nomination is a complete and total joke. She has relatively no experience in the political field. Yes, she has executive experience but let me throw a couple of statistics at you:
Alaska, her state that she governs, has 670,000 residents.
Fresno County, my county, has 750,000 residents.
Her budget that she managed is less than Fresno Unified School District's annual budget. That is a little sad to say the least considering the FUSD budget is rather pitiful.
Governor Palin speaking ability pales in comparison to one Senator Biden as well as to Obama's speaking ability. Another thing to consider is that the average voter in America votes on name recognition. Well, Obama's name recognition is bigger than both McCain and Palin.
Things look good for the Democratic Party.
Another little humorous point, Palin was runner up Miss Alaska. I just find that funny.

25 Days.
So, I sit here, talking to Miss Vivian in an odd mental state. I am excited for the forthcoming school year. Moving in and all. But at the very same moment, my mind is in a state of disarray over the moving away of all my closest friends. So, I listen to Bowie and blog because apparently that is what I do now. Twenty-Five days remain.
